Increase in flood insurance

Anyone else experience a huge jumping in flood insurance? Mine went from $300 to $1600 due to FEMA coming in and changing my zone from x to a. I've been told I can get an elevation certificate to possibly help if my house is high enough on pilings.

I need a land surveyor. Any suggestions?

Try Woody Curle over in Navarre Beach - I had an elevation certicate done last year and he was quick and fair priced!

Ditto on Woody.

I predict we will see more issues with flood insurance in the coming years. Those not in Zone X will be getting nailed.
