Is either party doomed?

New posts
Regardless of political affiliation, we need representatives that listen and vote the will of their constituents. Hence the word representative. Anyone who doesn't needs their butt kicked to the curb.

With due respect Andrew. I agree with your comment about "representatives that listen and vote the will of their constituents". In facts, I've heard that same line for the past 50 years. Just what makes you believe that a new party will make that happen.

Talk is cheap and politicians are politicians regardless of the party title. Sure, there are a few that actually do as you have stated, but very few on either side of the isle.... IMO, once they make it to D.C. they have a short memory of their promises to their constituents.

Reminds me of a song in one of the Cheech and Chong movies.

I remember this sketch:

Cheech:You sold me that chit, couldn't even get a fly high. I brought it home gave it to my brothers and sisters, turned out to be nothing but oregano.

Chong: Well if it's oregano ya b----r, you can use it in your soup!

Arkiehawg,

I've never been a big fan of having a political banner. I vote on the candidate not for the party. I was one of those that voted for Perot. Yeah I knew he wasn't going to win but he earned my vote.

Clinton turned out to be a great President. I tend to favor candidates that are fiscally responsible. I don't want my kids inheriting problems we created or didn't solve. It's basically the same mantra of global warming supporters.
