Is water to stifle the rebound?

Did anyone read the article in the back of this month's Florida Trend? I did not realize the changes in law that are now requiring local government to state where the water supply is going to come from before the approval of building permits and COs. Something that appears to be starting this summer. These plans go to the local Water Management District who tells the State rather they should be approved. Being on that board is going to end up being more powerful than a county commissioner had ever wished. And it is a gubernatorial appointment.

Interesting article. Just the tip of the iceberg, I fear. I forsee a good amount of whining and politicing over this one. Developments are actually going to need to justify their existence. Can we anticipate a 'watered down' version in the next session?
