A few weeks ago I rescued a golden mix in hopes that Lola and Ricco would welcome her with open "arms"... After a few weeks I have realized that it is not going to work...
I've named her Isabella....she's a beautiful little girl....obviously a golden (or maybe lab) mix....has white "socks". I was going to name her Manolo
but was too close to Lola...
She's a sweet girl...loves to sleep at your feet....sleeps thru the night....does her business outside....doesn't chew on anything but her chew toys....loves her stuffed monkey...has been to the vet for first series of shots....no flea or skin problems.....the vet said she was going to be a medium size dog...maybe 30 - 40 pounds?
She LOVES to play outside...LOVES kids and other dogs...not sure about cats as she's never been around them....LOVES the water....tries to jump in the tub with me...chases the sprinklers and has attempted to crawl in water bowl...
Unfortunately Lola is over 10 years old...now has no teeth and can barely see....SHE is not happy....Isabella is affecting the quality of Lola's life....and I just can't do that to Lola....Lola stopped eating and just shakes all the time....I separated them and Lola is much much better....but I can't keep Lola locked closed up in the bedroom for the rest of her life....
I've TRIED everything....I'm fighting my allergies with Isabella...and if that was the only thing....I could deal with it...
I'm sad that it's not going to work out....you'll understand when you see the photos...
I know I could go thru local rescues but would REALLY like to find a friend, or a friend of a friend of a friend.....she's such a special little creature....great heart...sweet soul....
