I've carefully looked and inspected the rentals so now I have to make a decision. Y'all please help me decide and give me feedback. It will be just me and my husband. We spend most of the time out and about when we are on vacation. I like to be on the beach early early in the morning and in the afternoon. We would like to eat most of our meals at home. I want to hear the ocean from where I stay. I want it to be easy to carry stuff to the beach: icechest, chairs, umbrellas, etc. Thanks everybody for all the help!

1) Inn at Seacrest Beach
2) Village of South Walton
3) Seamist Condos
4) Condo in Seacrest Beach North
5) House on Western Lake

5) House on Eastern lake ...depending on where it is located on Eastern Lake.
 
you won't be hearing the ocean from any of those spots. j/k

i'm sure you know this, but there are a couple of watercolor houses on western lake in the rental pool. and the rental apts afford a water view, and have beach club access, full kitchens, etc. it's all about what's affordable.

The only one on your list that's actually gulffront is Seamist. For what you want, you can't get any easier than that. Open door, see water. What house are you talking about on Eastern Lake? Choices 1 and 2 are across the street and both are the size of NYC hotel rooms. We looked at the studios at Village of South Walton when we were condo shopping, and I was shocked at how teeny they were. I felt claustrophobic in them.
