It's HOT!

There was an army of tractors and trucks grading the beach Saturday morning. I don't know how far west they went, but we were at Leeward II and they were coming from the direction of Eastern Lake. We had never seen as much vehicle traffic on Seagrove's beaches as we did this past week.

Ugh. I hate seeing vehicles on the beach. I saw a lot of pictures post storm and it looked to me like most of the debris was natural, but I wasn't there. What was your impression?

To me, all the press releases from the EOC mentioning dangerous beach debris made little sense. But in this context, it looks like they were using it as justification to scrape the beach after the storm.

I am very much against beach vehicle traffic. I see very little justification for it.

I thought the state parks did it at Deer Lake. I thought the county was not allowed to mess with state beach. Maybe this was a special case. The area at deer lake was at the debris line where there was some trash but raking the beach of seaweed is a very bad idea and makes sand go away over time.

Back to "It's Hot!" It is so hot and humid here in GA that our windows are all fogged over with humidity. When I drive to work, I put giant Velcro rollers around my face so that my hair doesn't get too frizzy due to sweat when driving 1.3 miles to work. Our sidewalks are slippery from the humidity and leaves falling on the wet pavement. Argh.
