I have never been able to understand how something that smells so good in the morning can taste so nasty. Too all java drinkers, enjoy your day and let me know if there is ever a diet Mountain Dew day
Heard on the news that coffee may cut the risk of depression in women. Let's see -- what would I rather be, depressed or bouncing off the walls and having heart palpitations and anxiety attacks from too much caffeine? If I drink straight-up caffeine, my students will say, "Hey, Dr. R., you must have had too much caffeine this morning." They notice when I've run out of coffee and haven't taken the time to make a mixture of half-caf and half-decaf.
BTW hubby has never had coffee. He doesn't like the smell of it. Frankly I don't like to smell coffee breath, but I sure enjoy coffee with breakfast. Except at when at the beach at Hibiscus -- we love Hibiscus iced tea for breakfast, even in the winter.
I can't imagine not having a cup of coffee in the morning. I have tried decaf a couple of times, and couldn't cope with the day. I never have coffee except in the morning. My sister has never had coffee in her life. Oh yeah, one more thing, as kids growing up, we had coffee on our grape-nuts. Has anybody else ever did that?
It was, probably, not unlike oatmeal, kinda mushy, with plenty of sugar and milk. (I, by the way, have never, ever accepted oatmeal as anything I would want to eat.)
