UF beat UT in Gainesville last year not Kville. UF is 4-2 at Kville over the last 6. Which is a great road record in the SEC. Look out for California in your 1st game.

Knoxnews.com VOLS BLOTTER
  • Marvin Mitchell: Fifth-year senior middle linebacker suspended indefinitely after being charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct May 1. Reached deal with prosecutors to have charge expunged from his record if he avoided trouble for 30 days and paid court costs. UT coach Phillip Fulmer said at SEC media days last week that he expects Mitchell to be available for the Sept. 2 opener against California.
  • Raymond Henderson: Redshirt freshman defensive tackle dismissed from team May 3 after making "inappropriate" comments to a woman and her daughter at a Knoxville restaurant. No charges were filed. Henderson has since transferred to Minnesota.
  • Jim Bob Cooter: Fifth-year senior backup quarterback suspended indefinitely after being charged with driving under the influence near campus June 3 at around 3:25 a.m. Preliminary hearing set for Aug. 17. Cooter will miss the California opener.
  • Marsalous Johnson: Redshirt freshman defensive back charged with aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a toy gun at Putnam County Sheriff?s Deputy Michael Hoover while driving on Interstate 40 Sunday night. Johnson was suspended Wednesday for the first four games of the season.
  • Lee Smith: Incoming freshman tight end from Powell High School charged with driving under the influence Wednesday and dismissed from the team. Also part of an ongoing grade tampering and "sexual and/or inappropriate relationship" investigation involving a suspended assistant principal at Powell.
What is more important to you - a winning season or an honorable team?
Over 25% of Vol fans say a winning team.

Well, we will see what happens. Yeah, I had gone to past years and got them backwards. It was 2004 Tennessee beat Florida at Knoxville and 2003 when they beat Florida at Gainesville. That was under Ron Zook those two wins. But a couple of wins were under Spurrier and year is under that new coach, whoever he is. Spurrier is at SC now, so everyone better watch out as far as SC is concerned this year. Everyone knows how he coaches. I think I despised Spurrier more than anything though. He has an arrogance about him. I am sure there are some problem players on the other teams as well, just not known about. Tennessee has had such a football reputation over the years, and the down year last year along with this makes for alot of talk.

I was serious, Cally is a good team, but thanks.

I had no idea the Bears were No. 12 in the USA Today poll. Haven't paid attention to the Pac-10 other than 'SC in a couple of years. Good for them. :clap_1:

From The Sports Network online site:

Here is the Pac 10 preview with odds to win the BCS Championship:

1) CALIFORNIA (15-1): The one team that will improve the most in the conference is Cal. Its defense is on par with Nebraska and Michigan, and will dominate Tennessee the first week of the season.

Spurrier left UF in 2001. You are talking about Zook years. Spurrier said "if they like you it's probably 'cause you aren't beating them".

Most believe the reason UT had such a down year last year was because of all the arrests and discipline problems in the preceding years. It is still going on. Is that what you mean about UT's "football reputation"?

No, I was referring to their overall reputation over the years for having had a consistently good team from year to year, other than this past year.

Roll Tide.

Sorry bout all the missing trees...but it's going to be a good season. Can't wait to beat all your weinie teams.
