I'm asking for your support in finding a cure for Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. On April 17th, 2010, I will be walking alongside Walton County Sheriff's deputies who are joining forces to take part in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk to Cure Diabetes. The goal: To raise $105 million to help fund research for a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.

Many people think type 1 diabetes can be controlled by diet or insulin. While insulin does keep people with type 1 diabetes alive, it is NOT a cure. My daughter Annabelle currently has to check her blood sugars around 10 times a day and has to take insulin shots around 7-10 times EACH and EVERY day!

A cure for type 1 diabetes is within reach. In fact, JDRF funding and leadership is associated with most major scientific breakthroughs in type 1 diabetes research to date, and JDRF funds a major portion of all type 1 diabetes research worldwide, more than any other charity.

I'm writing to ask for your support because now more than ever, EACH of us can be a part of bringing about a cure. Each of us can make a real difference

Please visit my Walk Web page at http://walk.jdrf.org/walker.cfm?id=87659333 to make your donation online.
