Kayaking from Miami to NOLA for Ocean Awareness -- Meet the girl doing it!

Margo Pellegrino has undertaken a kayak journey from Miami to New Orleans in an effort to raise ocean awareness. She will be arriving in Sandestin at the village of Baytowne Wharf Marina this Friday (time to be determined as she gets closer). A reception to meet her as she arrives will be hosted by Karl Renelt . Please show your support for ocean awareness by attending. Travel Itinerary and stops are on her website at www.Miami2NOLA.com. Ms Pellegrino travels with partnerships from the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Gulf Restoration Network (GRN).

Margo is awesome and has some very interesting stories to share. Karl is planning on escorting Margo into the marina on his kayak.
I hope lots of folks come down there to welcome her!

I will post as soon as I find out time. The winds have been in her favor this week so far, and the estimated time right now is late afternoon on Friday.

As of right now, (Fri. 10:40 a.m.), Margo's ETA is around 5:30 - 6 p.m. It all depends on these afternoon storms that may pop up. I will post more info when available! Hope to see some folks come and support this great cause and cool gal at Baytowne this eve.!
