BR, I don't understand how you can brag about saving the life of a bird and attempting to kill a snake in the same thread. Did you know that some species of birds kick out the weakest young birds out of the nest so that only the best fitted genes are passed on, thereby making the species stronger?
Guess you're right, Smiley J. All of the birds have left the nest except for one. Probably the one I "saved." I check on it several times a day (I don't touch anything near the nest). It is breathing, and the mother checks on it frequently, fussing at me every time I let Pepper outside to take care of business. :(

Hey, SJ, I did save the bird's life! Its siblings flew away yesterday, so I thought it was a goner - it was lying in the nest and just breathing heavily. Then today it flew away from the nest with its mother. :clap_1:

Now if we could just get rid of all of the babies whose mothers have decided that they like nesting in our Bevolo light fixtures at our GA house. I really need to clean those fixtures, but I don't want to hurt the babies.
