 that's just about all I can say!!

Years ago a friend of mine Dad bought brand new cadillac, fully loaded (he was recently divorced) had it one week and my friend's younger sister (about 8 & 10 at the time) wanted to surprise Daddy. They took floor wax and "waxed" Daddy's car...ALL OVER! Vinyl top, windows, chrome, tires, headlights. It was ruined. Daddy had to have it painted!

My little sister had the same idea...she waxed all our furniture with butter!

Sounds like my story of a new red truck getting a fresh coat of white house paint by two bored 7 yr olds.

InletBD, take Cheering's advice and blame it on their daddy's genes.

If my kids, which I do not have, had done this I would look like this  for a moment, but would quickly relax and give them a big hug and lots of love.

Yeah, all non-parents give the same answer. Especially the part about "relaxing." (The "quickly" bit is the clincher, though. )

In all honesty, SJ, it takes a parent about 15-20 years, at which point the naughty boys are grown up people and paying mortgages and owning furniture themselves  , to laugh about an incident like that. And even then it's a wicked laugh, because the parents are knowing those kids are fast approaching parenthood themselves, and that is the best revenge: grandchildren!!!
