Kind of a stupid question...

Beach Fanatic
I'll be down in a few weeks for a convention at the Sandestin Hilton. I plan to blow off one day of the convention so I can spend all day at the beach.

Here is my stupid question: I cannot stand crowded beaches in front of high-rises. Suppose I were to take my chair and cooler, and walk east past Four Mile Village to the beaches at Topsail Hill? Would this be a problem? Do they inforce the "no alcohol" rule.

I just want some breathing room and tranquility. Replies from those in the know are appreciated.

What is the "no alcohol" rule? Is this just for topsail?

Supposedly, there is no alcohol allowed in state parks or on state park beaches.

You're not likely to see any rangers on the beach. One could drive by and if he did say something he's not going to arrest you or anything.

Thanks, folks. I guess I was probably as concerned about being on a state park beach without having paid a fee as I was about the beers.

Heck, all they can do is make me leave.
