Land Purchase in South Walton for New School

New posts
I can't help but wonder what Davis plans to do with the 1.2 million acres he owns in Nevada. Maybe he has a deal cooking with Harry Reid to sell it to the Feds.
Haven't you made this statement before? Aren't we talking about land purchase for schools here in Walton County?

It must be time for the BCC to buy some land. I noticed that Sara Commander has already received a contribution from you know who.

Get real!!! If the land is the best possible site for the construction needed, and the price is fair, why shouldn't the county buy it? If you had been as financially astute as Mr. Davis, you could be the one selling the desired land. I plan to contribute to Sara Comander too, simply because she understands the needs of the county and the direction it should be going. Maybe you should attend one of her "Visions for Walton County" sessions. It is obvious you would learn something about the future of Walton County.

At yesterday's BCC meeting administrator Larry Jones began the discussion of the M.C. Davis property being looked at for a sports complex. The two appraisals came in a around a million. This is the land near the land the Walton School District is planning to buy. Commissioners agreed to have staff start negotiations.

Last time I checked, Sara didn't have any opposition. Brilliant move to contribute to such a candidate!

Aren't you the little guy who suggested that I didn't have the "stones" to go to the school board meeting a while back?

Yep and look what you did without intimidation or anything. Glad this little man was able to get you over your fears. Now back to the subject of this thread.

It's pointless to question anything county government agencies do. The cheerleaders on this board seem satisfied with any and all decisions made by the county commission and the school district. I'm one of those who believes it's bad policy to do business with those who give thousands of dollars to the politicians in charge but thankfully I no longer reside in Walton county so I no longer have a dog in the hunt. The point is that some of us have different moral discipline than others.

I don't know what cheerleaders you are talking about, but I will say, they say a needs assessment was performed and property was needed, and the property that is selected is owned by a contributor which sucks, and that property meets the needs and is the only property available then it makes sense to purchases it. Now, if you have some other parcels that meet the needs and is for sale then I would suggest you offer them.

This makes sense and seems quite reasonable. Sometimes things are just what they appear.

So obvious who has some serious sour grapes axe grinding going on. So clearly single minded and immature. So tiring.
