Large bear near old florida fish house!

[Diane4145]

UPDATE! It was a black bear and about 200lbs! It was at the dumpster, then went up in to the tree!

Anyone hear about the 2-300lb bear, seen near Fish House? My sons saw it, but, I'm not sure what color, it was. I'll ask, and let ya know! Sad that we're taking over, their turf!

I was fishing at the dock by there until about 430ish and we didn't see or hear anything. Looks like we left just in time then, as I would not want to run into one while I had my daughter with me!

Black bear fur is usually a uniform color except for a brown muzzle and light markings that sometimes appear on their chests.

Eastern populations are usually black in color, while western populations often show brown, cinnamon, and blond coloration in addition to black.
