Anyone know what's going in?
Red writing to indicate “Under Contract” has appeared on the For Sale signs of 34 acres of undeveloped land on Blue Mountain Beach’s Draper Lake.
This large parcel features 1,900 feet of frontage on 30A and 1,800 fronting the coastal dune lake. About 21 acres of the 34 are upland.
“There’s not much like it, if anything,” said listing agent Dave Lovell with Arnolds and Arnsdorf Realty.
The plot had been on the market a little over a year before coming under contract this past July, with a tentative closing date set for October. Though no plans for development have been filed, it is approved for a combination of uses, including residential and mixed-use development.
The property is being sold by Bryan Kilbey, whose family purchased the plot in the mid-90s.
Kilbey declined to speculate on the future development of the land.
“I couldn’t really tell you” what’s going to happen with the plot, said Kilbey. “It’s not in my hands.”
