Hey, everyone! I have a request.
Some of our best friends in the area have had a huge, life-changing, traumatic event this weekend. Many of you know Faith and Sophia Blair. Sophia is a student at Seaside Neighborhood School and will be a freshman at Seacoast this next year. Faith is an an amazing artist and will be the art teacher at Seacoast this fall.
July 19th was Sophia's 15th birthday. She has been looking forward to this day for months. About a week and a half before, her father, Anthony, went into the hospital in FWB because Sacred Heart was too full. He died early Sunday morning on her birthday.
Back story, Anthony had a stroke about 2-3 years after they moved here from Atlanta, GA. He has been dealing with heart problems, the issues with a stroke and multiple other health problems for the last 6 years. That's why many people don't even know him in our area. He was an amazing artist and humanitarian. We have known them since River and Sophia were in 1st grade together.
Faith and Sophia need to get on their feet after this tragedy. We have set up a GoFundMe account for them at gofund.me/zx85qs. If you can donate ANYTHING at all, it will be a great help.
Faith is the kind of person that will give the shirt off her back to anyone. Two days ago, she came to our house with a bottle of wine, although she is the one going through absolute hell right now. Last night, she came with another gift. Seriously. That's who she is. She has a heart of gold. She's incredible. Now it's time for the community to rally around her. Please help in any way you can.
We are working on a benefit for them and will provide information ASAP, but want to get this out so that they can keep going right now.
Thank you.
