Beach Crab
I hope to be living among you sometime in the next year. My husband recently passed away and I am packing up my life in Alaska to move closer to family. I've fallen in love with Grayton Beach! My house is on the market and I'm hiring a CEO to take over my business. I have a small Havana Silk Dog named Doozie who is my constant companion. With kids in Jacksonville and Houston, a sister in Columbus, GA and a brother in ATL I anticipate plenty of company. Looking for a home on the beach with lots of room for visiting family. I look forward to spending the winter renting a place in the area in the event my dream house falls through.

:welcome:You'll love it!!

Hi Honnybee! First let me say how sorry I am about you losing your busband. I think it is great that you have decided to move to a place in Grayton (great area) and to make so many changes to be in a place you love. I just did the same thing but for other reasons because I fell in love with the area also. Although I live in Blue Mountain Beach very close to Grayton. I have a chihuahua who is also my constant companion. He is the best thing I ever did for myself and I always say he saved my life b/c of his loyalty and unconditional love and his intuitiveness of how i felt. I've only been here about 1 1/2 months and already am feeling so much calmer. I have been a professional pet sitter for 16 years and am starting my business in the SoWal area. I was wondering what a Savana Silk Dog is. I have not heard of that breed. I wanted to offer my condolences and welcome you before hand to SoWal. I am pretty sure you will not be sorry. I have four visitory coming in Memorial Day weekend for the first time and am excited about it. I never had business when I lived in New Orleans which is where I am from; born and raised. I needed a change and a much slower pace of life. Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. I'll check this site to keep tabs on how it is going. Take care, Brenda

:welcome: Hunnybee,
This is a very wonderful good place...
for both healing and regrowing.

My condolences on your husband's recent passage.

Good for you! I wish you an amazing journey. I can't wait until the day when I can write on this board that I too am moving to SoWal! Good luck....

:welcome:

Bring your old snow shoes. They'll make a great convesation piece in Janurary when temp. sometimes hits the 70's.
