Looking for church in the Santa Rosa Beach area

New posts
You've gotten a lot of good advice plus a lot of silliness from scared children trying to hide their insecurity, hope you find exactly what you are looking for.

God will find you if you look for him. This is the right area for open door welcoming Churches.

If there ever was a serious case of projection, it's right there. ^^^^^^^^
I am 100% comfortable with my utter lack of faith and I relish it, and enjoy sharing it, and perhaps even spreading it. I see no reason to keep it in just because it causes you so much butthurt.

so you manifest it by looking for innocent threads that merely mention a Church?

your insecurity is so pervasive that you need to change the entire direction of a
newcomer's simple question about where to attend a nice welcoming open Church
to a rant about your own fears?

and yet we are "butthurt" for pointing it out? that's amazing hypocrisy and irony.

News flash, topics tend to drift. Also, if I've ranted at all, it's not about fears in any way shape or form. Certainly not about MY fears, perhaps I've dredged up some of yours. Yes you are butthurt because you can't accept a different viewpoint and then you call people childish and insecure for getting in their $.02. If someone mentions church as a way of achieving peace of mind and inner strength, you darn well better expect to hear from people who think there are better ways. Churches and religions are not beyond criticism any more than are political parties and ideologies. In fact, they seem to have much in common.

That may sell to the other children who live in fear.

But the same exact couple of people hijacked this simple, innocent
question of a thread to tell each other about their own insecurities.

It's okay, it's so commonplace it only deserves a cursory response

Glad to hear the attitude is commonplace. That's the first positive thing I've heard you say.

yes it is, sadly. most folks these days are as fluid as amoebas floating thru life, finding morality only when
they need it and making the rest up as they float along, it's nothing to be ashamed of anymore than
a simple one dimensional mind, it's the not looking for more that's sad

Good to see people are thinking for themselves, taking an interest in the natural world, and expanding their consciousness.

Across the globe you will find hundreds of gods to choose from. I've heard there is a Papua New Guinean mud god, Pikkiwoki, who is promising a pig and as many coconuts as you can carry after you die. If you're going to practise a system of ethics based on fear and the promise of a reward, an afterlife in the biblical version, instead of practising a system of ethics based on it simply being the right thing to do you might as well get something that's tangible. It also doesn't hurt that I like pork and coconut.
