Now we have the federal government threatening states that they will lose funding if schools do not allow transgender restrooms in schools.

Now they are discussing that it be mandatory to discuss gender identity in the classroom.

Be respective of the 1%, let's understand though that 99% of our children are children.

These kids cannot tell you what Pi is, or where Micronesia is, or why September 1, 1939 is significant. But we are worrying about this bullshit. If you are not smart enough to know why you dress like Boy George, then you lose your transgender card.

We are truly missing the point of this exercise. It is smoke and mirrors on why our kids are number 28 on the education list. I would like to child identify as intelligent, rather than dumbass.

You could start by correcting the atrocious grammar in your last sentence.

An educated population is one that would not allow the hijacking of our country by the people and corporations with money. An ignorant population is easily misdirected towards nonsense.

Since North Carolina and other states find it necessary to enact bathroom laws pertaining to a very select tiny segment of the population, that no one ever really cared about before, and who are the least to cause a problem in a bathroom... then perhaps children and adults should be educated on the issue.

Believe it or not there are plenty of children, some young but most older, who have real gender identity issues that families and schools work together to provide support. I didn't really realize. I'm hearing their stories and some involve school experiences, bullying, and suicide. Bathroom laws don't help anyone and only serve to bring out fear and bigotry. These extremist laws should be repealed asap.

I believe the Fed govt is trying to protect these students in our schools, because of bad laws being passed in states targeting transgender people, but they are only making the situation worse.

@carson you've been SERVED! :lol:

Jensky made my point. Our country is ran by idiots. The true mark of ignorance is a government that spends their time and resources telling people where to pee because they cannot affect real change. We have become a country of apologists and panderers all under the guise of being empathetic.

Let's go back to outhouses, they seemed to be gender neutral. Focus on the classroom, not the bathroom.

BTW, not sure if Jensky's point was a political, or social observation. According to Debt.org and Pew, there are an equal number of Republican and Democrat voters of the top 20% of the wealthiest Americans, those making 100K plus annually. The top 20 wealthiest families in the US, 75% vote Democrat and the wealthiest individuals are overwhelmingly Democratic. In Congress, the wealthiest Representatives are Democrat. Obama's personal net worth has gone up 438% since running for office.

And you proved my point. The parties are full of the same crooks and you have fallen for their game of divide and conquer.

The government isn't telling people where to pee, it is informing them where they are allowed to pee. A big effen difference.
