hmmmm......can't remember
Was anyone else sad and shocked? I really liked her. (I still do!)

One article...

I'm not surprised. She gave what seems to be a sincere apology - doesn't blame anyone but herself, acknowledges all the disappointment she caused so many people, including her family and young fans, and says it's a chance for people to learn the very big cost of making very bad choices. I give her credit for her apology. It's so well done it's easy to forget that what she did was very bad. I also liked that her mother was standing behind her, providing needed loving support but not giving excuses or showing pity for her daughter... she seemed like she just wanted her daughter to do the right thing. Jones gave a much better acknowledgement of her big mistake than a lot of others make when they do something bad and illegal -- such as Ken Lay of Enron and so many others who don't take full responsibility and give apologies that avoid or minimize the issues (if they give any apologies at all). I guess she'll lose her gold medals, as she should.
