DD, Miss Kitty, CoS, and others of you who live in the Dallas area, be on the lookout for my sister who lives in Dallas and whose license plate is GOGATORS. The second scariest ride of my life, with her driving down I-635 at 85 mph while she was putting on makeup. LOL -- I love you, sis. I'm sure you lurk on SoWal.

Not that anyone cares, but the scariest ride of my life was Mom driving through the curvy mountain roads from Lake Tahoe on the way to San Francisco at 85 mph when I was 17. She got pulled over by a cop, but flirted her way out of a ticket. Sis=Mom junior.

I'll watch for Sis and I just had to LOL thinking of your sweet Mama roaring down the road and flirting her way out of the ticket. Love it!

Maybe airbags, seatbelts, antilock brakes, and crumple zones should be replaced with makeup kits.

Yep...I think it should become law.

I think that'd be a smart move. Then people would arrive alive... and FABULOUS!

glad you were applying your mascara and taking your sweet time.

Lord knows I hate mascara and refuse to wear it (gave it up for Lent in college - it LOVED it then and wouldn't be caught dead without it - I think its against the law in Alabama to be without black coated lashes). but I had the same exact thing happen to me at that 98/395 intersection/light today. I wasn't applying masacara but I was taking time to LOOK BOTH WAYS TWICE. An SUV blew right through the red light. Can't tell you how many times that happens at that dang place. dumbarses.

I'm glad you guys are o.k. Death sucks. Bunch of d.a.'s out at this time it seems all over the place. After living in Houston, I laugh at myself when I yell at someone for going out of turn at the stop signs at Grayton 4-way and Seagrove 3-way. It used to be we were just glad to make it from one place to another in the jungle... I earned my boots in Texas. I kind of like it when the tourists are a little crazy (not dangerously so), brings back memories of driving on the fly in the no zone ozone. I still wear boots. The stories I could tell would give you BIG hair DD. :mj: Is it just me or does MJ look creepy in this pic?

FTLOG Woman, don't scare me like that! I am glad you are safe. I find as I get older my road rage is intensifying with these jerks that pay NO attention whatsoever to the road. Those big dump trucks are the worst in my opinion. I have been in a couple of close calls with them here. Now, you have a SAFE trip to paradise. Party like a rockstar and give everyone big 'ol hugs for me, will ya? Love ya, mean it!

Glad you are okay DD. The lights on 98 are run all the time. I usually wait a few seconds and look twice too. I've seen too many people blow right through and it's usually a dump truck.
