Mediacom

Here4good, thank you very much for the information. Another case of authority being taken from where it belongs. Ah, government. Isn't it great.

When it was local, MediaCom was chosen, and renewed everytime their contract was up. When I contacted my commissioner about them, she had no idea who was in charge of it, or when their contract was up.

Here's the latest Mediacom gaffe. Channel 13, ABC, says they are not negotiating with them in good faith and will delete Channel 13 from their offerings on Dec. 31st. Call Mediacom and complain vocifously about this issue. As of now, we need another alternative to Mediacom. Who determines who can provide cable service in this county?

This is nothing new. It happens on a yearly basis with DirecTV as they renegotiate contracts. It's a high tech version of chicken. This year it was all of the Fox owned channels. Last year it was VS. which is a sports channel. NatGeo has been on the list. Somebody will always blink at the last moment.
