military helicopters over the beach

The big military helicopters were flying so low over Miramar Beach last wednesday. Cool but scared some tiny kids. Is that usual? Not over the water either, directly over the crowd.

Yes, low flying military planes and helicopters are quite common. We have large military bases on either side of us and they have been flying over the area for decades doing various training exercises.

They haven't been bombing much lately though, wonder if sequestration has something to do with that.
