It all depends on who else runs. The GOP can't get past the fact that the ultra right wing to moderate candidates have to bathe in Jesus, guns and gays to win the primary when the trolls come out to vote. Then they have to try and desperately swing back to the middle to attract moderates and independents. If this cycle continues you won't see an R in the White House for some time.

If Jeb wants a chance he'll have to come out and shut down the anti-gay loonies and try and tame the gun totting loons who want to buy automatic weapons at the gas station. Otherwise he's not right enough for them and they trounce him in the primaries for a neanderthal that has no chance in the general.

P.S. If you love the FCAT vote Jeb, then the whole nation can be ranked on letter grades.

Sen McCain no, 2 reasons. Kept pushing for more war which was concerning for me and Gov Palin was on the ticket. Gov Romney, no because what I perceived was his attack on the middle class. Gov Jeb Bush got my vote twice while in Florida but because of some of his alignment with groups who attack public employees and workers in general I may have a hard time getting past that. Just my opinion. Besides I quit voting the party label.
Interesting, because my opinion is that McCain and Romney were SO moderate that they failed to inspire the base. McCain sponsored the anti-free speech campaign finance law and was often publicly critical of GOP leaders in congress. I could not believe it when he was nominated. Romney's most famous accomplishment was the Massachusetts healthcare system upon which Obamacare is modeled. I could not believe it when the party wishing to repeal Obamacare nominated the architect of government-controlled healthcare.

So you voted for Obama twice. In your opinion, where is Obama on the spectrum, left-wing or moderate?

So let me get this straight. If a Republican candidate is too moderate, then the Republican base will stay home and let the Democrat win? Do you honestly think that someone like Gingrich, Perry or Santorum would have had a better chance at winning the presidency than Romney? If Romney hadn't picked a more extreme right winger like Ryan as a running mate, he would have done a lot better.

This is just going to keep happening. The GOP base will trash the only candidate who has any chance of winning during the primaries. They will get a sense of false hope that their favorite right wing nutjob (RWNJ) of the month is going to win the nomination. Inevitably without fail, the more moderate GOP candidate will get the nomination. Of course by that time, he's damaged goods due to all the trash talk directed his way by his own party. In fact, democrats don't write negative campaign ads. They just plagiarize Republican ads that were used during primary season.

Anyhow by the time the election rolls around, the GOP candidate further damages himself by putting on a fake RWNJ exterior for reasons that are inexplicable. This absolutely kills any chance of him getting any crossover democratic vote in key swing states. Finally, to top things off, the GOP continues with the delusion that Pennsylvania is a swing state and they waste a lot of time campaigning there. Now, does anyone still have any doubts that reality has a liberal bias?

Even the Pope is to the left of Republicans!

A few thought about a few things:

1. McCain campaign finance reform is anti-free speech? So, you really think the Founding Fathers thought corporations were people too?

2. If far right R's stay home to make a point or to claim true R status, isn't that like voting for Obama? At least vote for a libertarian. Plus, what about all the non-Presidential races?

3. poppy claims to be free from the e-mail chain, but sure does parrot the days liberal talking points.

4. I don't need an e-mail to know that Perry, and his social views, are too far right for me.

5. Who's happy that seaducer is back? Me for one. He causes poppy to hyperventilate.

It looks as if I cause you to hyperventilate!

This is who I'll vote for, regardless of party affiliation. Someone who believes in the Constitution and supports it. Someone who is for the principles set forth by our nation's founders. Someone who is for limited government and state's rights. Someone who understands the the economy grows when free enterprise is allowed to flow. Someone who understands we can no longer be the world's policeman and that our military deserves better than they get. These, among others, are the principles that I was raised with and have proved to be accurate and sustaining all through my life. I have not yet seen any candidate possessing these qualities except possibly Ben Carson.

I Think most important race " Squiter" control guy...he will actually accomplish something. #killthemsquiters

So we both have an opinion. I voted for President Obama for 2 reasons and unfortunately I am somewhat disappointed by him. 1. I think the healthcare issue was and is an important issue that needs to be addressed and he hasn't addressed it adequately. 2.He for the most part has slowly been getting our troops out. Still debating whether I like what we are doing in Iraq and Syria although it is a lot better, IMO, than what some of the Hawks in Congress would prefer. Just so you are aware President Obama was the only Democrat for President I have voted for and is not the only President that I have had issues with. As I said I quit voting party label.

There's only one party...the rest is a charade that you can view for the price of cable tv.
