You are the first person I've met online who knew about Big Blue!
Plus I admire your taste for enjoying A Fish Called Wanda and Hero and ANY heist movie! YES!

Cil,
You too are one of the few people I've met who have seen the Big Blue. Completely immersive movie. I need to buy that film!!

heehee
"immersive"
nice pun there

If I had to pick, I would probably go for "Flying Daggers" as my favorite of those other three. But I enjoyed all of them.

In terms of heist movies, have you seen the grandaddy of them all, Rififi? Every caper movie I have ever seen always seems to have some element of Rififi, which was made in 1955 when I was all of a year old.

No, and in between reading this message and responding it just made its way to top of my queue on Netflix! Thanks

A christmas story.......we can watch this one over and over this time of year
Viva Las Vegas.............we happen to be huge ELVIS fans!!!!

Eww...I saw Brokeback Mountain yesterday and did NOT like it at all.
Ironically enough...it's only out in 69 theatres right now.
I don't reccomend sitting through it. Though many of my gay male friends loved it, I did not.

Seriously?? Why did you not like it, besides the obvious for some people? I can't wait to see it!!! It will be a tearjerker. It quite possibly may win an Oscar.
I'm surprised it would get an ewwww from anyone!

the whole premise of the movie just sounded kinda iffy to me, i pictured in my mind what i call an artsy fartsy film. if it is that bad, it will probably sweep the oscars this year.

I know! I was so pumped about it. I though it was really slow...It tugged at my heartstrings...but didn't release the dam. They focus on too much blah blah stuff and they don't drive home the really emotional parts.

It was a great story, but it really didn't do it for me!
