Hi all, I've noticed on some of the Destin beach cams that the water looks awfully murky in close to the break line. Do we have June grass already? Sargassum?

What's the story?

No June Grass that I can see... No story.

Nature.

I see the June Grass in the water and a little bit on the beach.

Please remember the value of the sargassum grass and june grass. It is a great dune builder. From what I can tell, Grayton just received about 20' of extra beach over the last week and a half.

I'm just one of those OCD-types that wants everything to be perfect. Of course, it never is and I need to learn to accept it.

 Prozac 80 mg might help.
Seaweed? What seaweed?

Coupled with your avatar, your *mellow* post was especially funny.

It seemed a little better out there today, but of course I'm over here in Gulf County.
SJ, thank you for educating me about the grass being a dune builder.
It doesn't bother me all that much in the first place, but it's good to know that.

You can also toast the pods of the Sargassum Grass and use them on salads. ;-)

I hate that seaweed. It is very ugly and keeps tourist out.

hmmmm.........now I might suspect our SoWal "Beach Butler" may be going to the beach at night and spreading the goodies for y'all! ;-)
