It took me a minute to get there, but I think I am getting some successful downloads. John R, is it possible to sample through a show to hear it before downloading? If so, how do I do that?

They are flac files, so you need to convert them to MP3 after download. Just google "flac conversion" and you'll find all sorts of free software.

Speaking of the Telluride Festival, I hear our boys DBT put on one helluva show Friday night.

they are flac files, but for cd playback, convert them to .wav, for personal music player, MP3 is the way to go.

regarding DBT, i need to give them another show to see of they do it for me. for only one outing with them, it seemed like a lot of stage noise, from 5 competing stringed instruments. some of their stuff was good, but i really need more time with them.

Oh JR- I just saw your sig line! My friend was at Bonneroo and had just finished seeing Ricky- she said he came off the stage at 7 and the kid was dead at 8. She also said the amount of drugs available and people using them seemed to be at an all time high.:( As in, she was surprised there wasn't alot more tragedy.

If Pat ditched the rest of the Truckers, he would have one helluva following. Pat is at his best when playing solo -- Reminds me of Neil Young with a little more angst.

You really need to see them in their native environment - a club. I have seen them at a couple of festival gigs and their show doesn't pack quite the power as in a 200-300 seat venue. I am of the humble opinion they are one of the best live acts going right now anywhere.

agreed. if they anyone would route through here, it would be great. it would be cool to see them at the blues shack or bud and alleys...

They had a show scheduled at Harbor Docks a couple years ago during Spring Break. Not sure what happened, but it fell through. Their big fan base is mostly college towns, but older rockers like myself love 'em too.
