isn't that the truth? you are thinking like a true local sowaller
what do you teach?

I am happily being transformed daily into a true sowaller. I teach MBAs at a business school (courses on creating high-performing teams, managing professional relationships, and every now and then a leadership course) and enjoy it very much. I'm fortunate to have a job I enjoy (and that is flexible as well). Not surprisingly, I'm pretty much known as the "work-life balance" faculty member, which is a role I take seriously and try to role model as best I can! In terms of work-life balance, I'm planning to learn how to teach part of my courses online so that I can teach from anywhere (SoWal beaches? Red Bar? Cottage Porch?) and so my students can take part the course from wherever they are (they will love it). I'm sure people can get a great education online as well as they can in person. In fact, this message board has been part of my inspiration -- I'd want to learn how to keep students as engaged on line as this board keeps so many of us engaged. Hope to see you sometime when I'm in SoWal. I enjoy your posts.

 Gosh, thanks... I have learned so much from this message board. It has made owning a vacation place in SoWal so much easier. I think I've learned more about SoWal from this message board than many people know about their home towns! And I've made many new friends, too.

Gosh, just being invited to a Pantalone Bianca festival makes any downturn in the market seem so insignificant in the grand scheme of things...

Ah, now that's the spirit! Good friends, good food, good times -who needs anything else?

Invented holidays are great. There were several children (under 5 years) at our festival last year and I told everyone that if these kids grew up believing that Pantalones Bianca was a real holiday then my life's work will be complete.

I can see now that Pantalones Bianca 2006 will need to be even bigger.

yes, we had better have a Panty Festival Party Planning meeting at Coco's next week. BF margaritas will get the planning off to a good start...

I'll be in town for the panty festival meeting if it's sometime between this Sunday and Thursday morning (though Wednesday is my daughter's birthday so that day won't work). Let me know if the meeting's any other night next week and I'd be happy to contribute a few ideas (especially having to do with Italian food -- hmmmm... perhaps some of the appetizers should be mutande shaped...)

I know you are not calling me a kid! I am guilty of thinking that this was a real holiday, until I showed up and discovered the truth. I must say, it was much more funn than discovering Santa Claus ... What was I saying?
