Yeah....this may seem like a really weird thread, but I was just standing in the kitchen trying to figure out what was on the dinner menu and noticed the hommage to Sowal on the fridge. Allow me to walk you through this.

Kimmimi, Why do you Live in NYC? I know why I do. I love NY and I love sowal But Most of my son's friends live here and maybe in a few years when my son is out of school, I'll live down in SoWal. Whats your Story??? Just asking...

Well I came up here for an internship that I had to have to graduate from Auburn. I got a job a couple weeks into it and just ended up staying. I was working at a luxury/fashion publicity & special events company where I was a personal assistant (ahhh!) and then worked on an entertaining book my bosses wrote- Fete Accompli- and then worked on the Grey Goose account. I was 25 and so burned out from working 12 hour days for pennies. I was so desperate to get out of the city. My boss was a total nightmare- she's very well known for her temper and lack of professionalism and she screamed at me one last time. I was pushed way over the edge. Called my dad and told him I was quitting my job- without another. So I quit, lived in the city for about a month while I "looked" for a job. I got offered a job doing PR for Vessie B. It was a company down based in Destin so I though it was my ticket out of the city. I went down, moved to Destin and about a month and a half later the company filed for bankruptcy. I did some freelance work for Fudpucker's and then realized that while I LOVED living at the beach I just wasn't ready to throw the towel in. I missed the city, my friends, the work I was doing, ect. In July, actually right after Dennis, I came up and interviewed for a job with Macy's special events. I ended up taking a job with the Macy's pubicity department and here I am. I LOVE Sowal, but it's not my time to be down there yet. I'm way too young and really want to learn more from the best in the biz up here.

So that's my story! It's been an interesting year to say the least!

Kimmi, I bet you work in a building I made a loan on earlier this year, right across from MSG, 11 Penn?? FUSE broadcasts from the first floor. Very cool building in a happenin' spot. Do you live near there? I'll have to stop by next time I'm in NYC, OK?? We could do some of this

Yes! I work in the Herald Square Macy's. I know exactly what building you are talking about.

I actually live down in the West Village. I LOVE my new neighbor hood. Mike Meyers lives around the corner and my friend saw Judith Light yesterday.

The building from Friend's is actually on my street. There are always tour groups there. The Cosby's set house is down the street too!
