Oops! Sorry I'm late again as usual! :idontno:
Anyway, I agree with Miss Kitty, Galveston is really nice at Christmas with the Dickens on the Strand thing. Not sure of the dates though. But keep in mind, Galveston ain't no SoWal! And the water's a "little" different color!

There are lots of thing to do in the Dallas Fort Worth area, including Gaylord Texan which just happens to be where I live! It's sooooooooooooo beautiful at Christmas, but getting in there can be a nightmare with all the "light lookers" (like me!) and the regular hotel parties, etc. Unless you're staying there it's a :bang: to deal with.

Six Flags has "Holiday in the Park" which is kinda fun, and gets you in a festive mood.

Most of the major hotels have pretty good New Year's parties...

What are your interests? Got anything in particular in mind?

Hi DD! Thanks for your input. My husband and I like to shop, drive around and look, eat and just take it easy. We work alot of hours and really enjoy it when we get to go somewhere! :D

BC-well, there's TONS of shopping and TONS of freeways, so you're in luck!

I'm not so much into the shopping thing, but lots of people like a place called Sam Moon's...knock off stuff, http://dallas.about.com/cs/sammoon/

Lots of beautiful lights all around.
The Sixth Floor Museum is pretty interesting.

I live 15 miles from Dallas and I hardly go there, isn't that strange? I tend to visit Fort Worth more often, which has the Stockyards,http://www.stockyardsstation.com/index.mv

Sundance Square

FW has a great zoo.

Hope this helps.
