'Capt. Underpants' Banned at NY School
Oct 26 5:50 PM US/Eastern
Capt. Underpants has battled talking toilets and Professor Poopypants, but he was no match for a high school principal who banned students from dressing up as the children's book character.

Long Beach High School Principal Nicholas Restivo took the action Wednesday after three 17-year-old girls wore beige leotards and nude stockings under white briefs and red capes on the school's Superhero Day.
"Yes, I know they weren't naked," Restivo said. "But the appearance was that they were naked."
Chelsea Horowitz, one of the dressed-up girls, had a problem with that logic.
"They're not see-through or anything," said Horowitz, an honor student and softball player. "All the teachers thought it was cute."
But Restivo decreed that no underpants would be visible in his hallways. Horowitz and fellow seniors Ashley Imhof and Eliana Levin went home to change back into their mortal attire.

WE should protest and dress as him next soiree! :lolabove: :lolabove: :lolabove:
I think RO would look darn good in underpants.....

I think he should be the next mascot for the Pantalones Bianca

Oh, this is one of Evan's favorite book series - he'll be mortified!

I would have loved to have seen this. :floor:
Dylan has always been a great reader. When it was time to start chapter books he was intimidated by so many words on a page. He was capable but would just look at it and say I can't read that! Capt Underpants to the rescue!!!! Worked like a dream...he read every CU book written. :clap_1:

We are proud readers of Captain Underpants!:clap_1:
Both my kids read the books! Whats the big deal? I guess it is the "suggestion" of nudity?:idontno:

This reminds me of the potty training tool I made out of bristle blocks for MS (my son). His name was Mr. Tinkle (of course).
