Ohio State has FIVE players suspended for NEXT season but they can play in the bowl game.

Their best player sold a championship ring (OK it was only the Big Ten), a jersey and some bling the team got for beating Michgan.

He was suspended for NO games this year.

The Univesity of Georgia's best player sold ONE jersey.

He was suspended for FOUR games this year, totally destroying the season.

The NCAA treats The Big (alleged)Ten and Pac-10 with kid gloves and comes down hard on the Conference (The SEC).

Ohio State's coach said (with a straight face) his players did not know they were violating rules.

NCAA as always favored the other conferences.

What do you think will happen with the Cam Newton situation?

After seeing the NCAA decision on this issue, does this mean that all colleges can pay parents of students as long as the student doesn't know about the money?

I can see major changes in college sports if this is policy.

I think it's a crock they can play AT ALL after violations. Sends the wrong message IMO.

And playing in bowl games after you have been found guilty, but before next season when you get penalized is also a crock.

You break the rules, you don't get to play. It's a privilege that one earns and that hinges on your academic performance and behavior - something forgotten far too often these days.
