$150.00 is not to much in todays world. Just look at teh type of tow trucks in this area and think what they pay for fuel, insurance, labor, and cost to run a truck. Also your car needs to go 8 miles but it is 10 miles at least to get to you them 8 miles to the repair shop and them 10 m,iles back to his shop so he just drove 28 miles and took about 1 hour. Then you wont them to have drivers who are trained to tow your type of vehicle so no dammage happens when it is being towed. Just think if John-John wonted 150 what Costal would wont as he wouldl come from bruce if he did it any cheeper he would be working for free. He also has a older truck and possible could do it cheeper as he does not have a truck payment on it. But the question is does he have on hook tow coverage to pay for your car when it comes off the vehicle. In Florida there is no requirement for traning or insurance coverage unless that wrecker company is on the SO or FHP tow rotation list. Most rotation companies will do a tow a litter cheeper than the rotation tows as it keeps drivers busy waiting on rotations. In this area there is only 2 companies thta meet the srtict standards for SO and FHP and that is Walton County Recovery 850-835-3385 and Jimmy's Paint and Body 850-835-2533.
Also AAA has no wreckers in this area they come from FWB or Crestview and you could wait up to 6 hours so some of my friends in the SO tell me. This is because AAA only pays about 35 - 40 for a tow and the tow company can not bill the owner for the remainder. in this area it is not cost effective but in a busy city it could be.
