Need small boat motor

Have been fixing a John Boat up for my boys this summer. Need a small motor, something that can just get them around Pt. Washington.

You might want to start with a trolling motor or even oars and oar locks. Craigslist forever has listings for small motors, but most are broken and need repair. The trick is to buy it and take it to a local trade school that has a small engine repair course. They'll generally do it for the cost of parts.

I have a 14 ft johnboat. Trailer and a 15 h.p. evinrude. It's been used very little. I would need to get around $2500.oo for it.

hello, i just bought two motors from e-bay a 5hp chris craft for 120.00 ,50.00 for shipping and a 7.5 sears for 250.00 ,50.00 for shipping i just resold the the 5hp on ebay, sorry, kept the 7.5 i have a 14ft flat bottom the 7.5 runs it great me and another adult with fishing gear, both the motors run great. give ebay a try i had no problem finding these two and at a very good price i only sold the 5hp because it was a 1949 challenger which still ran but a little to hard to pull crank for me, the sears is great, one quick pull and its going.. hope the info helps, see ya out there fishing
