What is the most profitable for her is wedding photography. Big bucks on the weekends. In April she is the lead photographer for a wedding in Ohio with a 500-person processional with elephants! She is so pumped about that.

Yes, this does sound like a circus. What happened to couples exchanging vows in front of people who have meaning in their lives. When did weddings evolve into theatrical productions? It's become a competition? Look at me! Look at me!

Jobs that leave you a lot of free time and have flexible hours usually don't pay well and offer flexibility.

If you are truly looking for a career change, I'd start thinking about things that meet your basic needs -- creativity, social interaction, writing. Then look for a company that offers flexibility. And do it so well, that they will pay you a decent salary as to not loose you.
