New member looking for last-minute rental 4-6 - 4-11 HELP!!

I do realize it is Spring Break but my husband and I were both able to get away from work and I have decided to take a last minute to trip with the kids (ages 3 and 6). We have been to South Walton several times before (SanDestin -not on beach)and Seagrove in a big house with extended family) but not in a smaller cottage or condo. It is overwhelming trying to comb through all the rental that may still be available.

I will look and see if there are forums about last-minute rentals but though I would start here.

*Must have internet (husband has to do some work - only way we could sneak away)
*Something that will sleep four - 2 BR ideal but we can do hall bunks
*On Beach
* Prefer not a highrise

Would love for kids to be able to walk right out on beach- I realize this is a tall order and we are flexible on requirements and somewhat on dates but I am thinking there might possibly be cancellations and or possibly ligher traffic due to economy.

Any suggestions??????????? Our 3 year old has never been to the beach and we are looking forward to some family time. Thanks!

I hear things are pretty well booked around here, but you should be able to find something. why don't you start by calling some SoWal rental agents?

Try Watercolor at www.watercolorresorts.com/ . They have a variety of 1-4 BR condos just behind beach, near beach club, walkover and pizza place ( Hot and Cold ). If unit does not have internet, there is access at the hotel close by.
