Beach Comber
Hi everyone! I've been lurking here for months now and thought I should say hello, finally.

I have never been a beach person. As a matter of fact, I _hated_ going to the beach. My wife, however, has always loved the beach (having grown up in the mountains of Virginia).

3 years ago today we (and our 3 dogs) drove our camper down to Topsail (on the recommendation of a total stranger) and I fell in love with 30A. The dune lakes look like something out of a movie -- from another world. The bike path is incredible. Nearly everyone is super nice and friendly. The area is so great for pedestrians, bikes, dogs. And the beaches and water are simply indescribable.

I said, that day, that we really had to find a way to move there.

Well, retirement is a good number of years away so moving full-time is out of the question but we were fortunate enough to be able to buy a house in Seagrove last month and plan to spend as much time as possible there.

You who live there full-time are mighty lucky, and one day we'll be there too!

Hello Beach Crab,
Congrats on your house in Seagrove! I just posted in my introduction that my husband and I are in the process of purchasing a short sale in Blue Mt. Beach,so prayerfully we will be living there part time too, or at least 5 or 6 weeks out of the year . We would love to live there one day. I know you and your family are excited, and I hope you enjoy your new beach home.
