The Coastal Branch of the Walton County library is teaming up with
Canine Consulting to bring the TDI Tail Waggin' Tutor program to our
area. The main objective of the program is to provide a relaxed "dog
friendly" atmosphere which allows students to practice the skill of
reading. Volunteer dog/handler teams are needed to insure the success
of this program. Dogs should be of even temperament , enjoy the
company children, be well groomed and in great health. Participating
canines must pass the Canine Good Citizen test as well as a
temperament test conducted by Therapy Dogs International. Any
dog/handler teams interested in volunteering should call Nancy Bown @
376-4190. Parents interested in the reading program should contact
Linda Thompson @ 267-2809. With your help we hope to kick off TWT in
eary October.
