The only other two names I have heard are Representative Murzin and Representative Evers who are term limited out of the house and both voted for the massive tax increase that was just passed in this State, therefore losing any chance of gaining any support from me.

Not that I am special or anything, but I do show up and mark a mean ballot.
 
Maybe kurt can correct your thread title. He hasn't been elected, so he is still a candidate and not currently the next Florida State Senator.

Oh come on now. Obama was never introduced as the next President? Or did you guys buy out Diebold when I was not looking?
 
Murzin is a good guy and seems to care and is obviously able to make the tough decisions even when it may upset folks.(wrobert) When I was in Tally for some lobbying, he asked the guys about 331 toll bridge. Seems there were some folks over there supporting it with the NWF delegation. I told him my personal opinion was I opposed it, I said if the State can expand and widen 79 they can build Walton County a bridge for its only north south corridor.

So you are basing your decision on a single meeting with a career politician that seems to have told you what you wanted to hear?
 
No, multiple conversations over the last 3 or 4 years I have been going to Tallahassee, also endorsement of other folks I trust and respect. I have met Evers, Drake, Bense, Sansom, Clary, Coley, Bense, Patronis, the guy Drake replaced, Gaetz, Peaden, Campbell, McDaniel, Rod Smith, Alex Sink, Charlie Crist, Bill McCollum. Some I have supported and some I have not. As for politicians, seems there will not be the learning curve of how things operate, and if you notice of the list above most of the folks have had and probaly still have their hand in politics at some level. By the way, Murzin did not tell me his leaning one way or the other, although he did say a toll bridge may be the quickest way to get one because of the current budget restraints. I also expressed my concern for the cost to those who work south of the bridge.
