NOLA burns

It seems like the quarter would burn down if it gets started. Would the forestry service and other choppers designed to fight fires help here? What about firefighting boats on the river. Anyone hear of any action?

The irony of a city underwater, burning, is unbelievable. If only there was a way to pump the lake water onto the fires!

Seems like forestry helicopters would work--but what is the likelihood that they are near NOLA right now? They'd also have to be careful about the water they scooped up because it is full of oil and gas, which would obviously make matters worse.

My brother in law is on a forrestry fire fighting team, and he is in NOLA right now. I wouldn't be surprised to find their chopper putting out fires on the news.
