November 2010

New posts
I've seen it, I've read it and i love it. Any changes are permanently embedded providing a historical record till the ends of time.

Buz, there's no such thing as a perfect World.

The video is dead on but don't expect progressives to like it or admit it. The Constitution is as AndrewG said, "a timeless document". As Buz so aptly noted, our founders were foresightful enough to allow for changes to it without totally destroying its intent and function. That is why we have the Bill of Rights. The first ten amendments. It is amendable. It should not be destoyable.

Glad I gave you a good laugh...I see you are still looking back and pointing at ole George...when are you guys ever going to hold Obama's feet to the fire... does he always get a pass with you all...being president means being in command, taking responsibility, being a leader, making choices that are good for the country...sometimes I think his choices are based on his "what can I do for the big wigs who helped get me elected" (and I'm not including all the little people who worked so hard for him). He has not kept his promises to the American people so why are his backers' promises more important to him...oh, that's right he wants to be a two term president. God help us on that one.
i'm coming to your church and drinking from the whites only water fountain

ah, the all white founding slaveholders and the perfect constitution, as pure as the pages of the all white bible

The Constitution is "timeless" because it has the ability to be amended.

Heck, even the Founding fathers changed it within the first decade.

Given the hysteria, is there a proposed amendment I am unaware of?

So Andy do you agree with the tone of the video?

Personally, I saw nothing wrong with the video and thought it was rather a provocative, thoughtful and forceful presentation, whether you agreed with it or not. It does happen to be that I agree with it for the most part, but do not find it derogatory, only truthful. To me, the last 17 months, overall, have been a disaster unparalleled in my lifetime except for WWII.

Aside from the oil spill, exactly what has happened in the last 17 months to make you say that?

There have been some policies I do not agree with and things I want to change, but there are many things that rank above "Obama's term to date" on my disaster scale.

That's 3 minutes of my life I want back. I thought I was watching November 2012 instead. I already saw that movie.
