At least he's a decent tipper. I notice that TDC Board Member and Teabagger Mary Brown wasn't interviewed? For someone so concerned with over taxation and government waste you'd think she would have been the rallying cry behind this?

Ms. Brown is no longer a TDC board member.

It seems very few if any of the TDC Board members had any insight into the financial affairs at the TDC.

Mr. Gilbert claims he was unaware and he is the Chair. He also signed and approved the Credit card bills.

Guess this is another example of people signing anything placed before them without reading what they were signing.

No, this is the lady who screwed the Walton County taxpayers out of $150K by making a ridiculous and time-consuming public records request and then suing when it didn't happen.

Those darn constitutions really give you trouble. There is no such things as a ridiculous and time consuming public records request in the State of Florida. The county could have easily given her a cost estimate for compliance. Instead they chose the path of non-compliance. A violation of the Constitution of the State of Florida and of Florida Statute. It is ashamed that we had to pay the price for the decisions of our leaders, but I believe the onese advising our leaders on that decision have been dismissed.

To talk them into coming here. Good luck. The reputation of Florida in England and I quote "It's a hot, dangerous, expensive dump with strange people." Terrance Griffiths, friend and barrister
I took exception to the dump part of his statement. I think Mr. Mares was overly impressed by his expense account and the British accents. And heaven forbid he take the Tube (cost $7.00) or train (cost$12.00) from Heathrow to London, instead of private carriage ($75.00-125.00) ONE WAY. And yeah I guess you can be a generous tipper, when it's other people's money. I must admit the Surf and Turf at Seagar's is really great, but you do yourself a disservice if you don't have the caviar as an appetizer.

Tell a German you're from Florida and they'll ask how far you live from Monticello and if it's still so dangerous.

From what my colleagues in Central Florida tell me, many British folks don't seem to have any problem flying in and out of MCO, buying entire subdivisions, and renting them from overseas, unlicensed for anything, and untouchable save for a lien...I'd prefer they not come here and do that, but just pointing out that Florida must not be TOO distasteful for the investment many have made.

Does anyone know what bank(s) control and funnel TDC and WalCo money before the bills are paid? Officers? Board Members? Who prints the checks?
