Obama the Oblivious

Site crashed today they said, " for planned maintenance ". Who chooses to do planned maintenance on the last day of a roll out program ? : liarliarpantsonfire:

People will be signing up for the next couple of weeks.

Why do you keep saying it is unaffordable?
A family member with a pre-existing condition looked into ACA. It was more expensive than COBRA that cost $605.97. She found out that she could get on her husband's college insurance that costs $250 a month.

I've also watched many news stories regarding its lack of affordability on the Atlanta and national news. Here's just one story I watched on WJHG in Panama City tonight.

I'm not making this stuff up.

Is that your entire argument?

I think the old adage "when you ain't got nothing you've got nothing to lose" applies to a lot of people in Panama City. There are a lot of apathetic brain dead loser twits who really don't give a crap if they are forever in debt, go bankrupt, die young, whatever.

PC is not the only place people are hesitant to sign up. I've seen news stories on CNN and the Atlanta news about the unaffordability of ACA.

That being said, I received this from CNN:
"A senior administration official said today that after a surge in sign-ups on enrollment deadline day, Obamacare is on track to hit the White House's original target of 7 million people signing up, CNN's Jim Acosta reports. More than 4.8 million visits were made to HealthCare.gov and 2 million calls were made to the call center Monday, raising optimism that the goal would be met, the official said."

The more people who sign up (especially healthy young people), the more affordable the ACA will be. I am happy that this will most probably be a successful law that will help many people. Being un-insured is scary when a simple medical procedure like a EGD costs $6000.

No, that's Fred Thompson, that mediocre actor who played a mediocre do-nothing senator in real life who melted into obscurity when he found out absolutely no one wanted him to run for president.

He's making his living now trying to convince old people they need to sign away their home using a "government insured reverse mortgage".

Obamacare will not have the all important commensurate participation of the young. They don't need it and can't afford it. The cost shift to millenials won't happen. No one posting here knows who signed up....yet. My guess is a massive amount of medicaid/preexisting/those whose plans were already cancelled. Wait for the backlash when the IRS goes into pockets for the penalty. The entire fiasco was sold as a one size fits all lie with zero participation from the opposition. No one addressed the issue of out of control costs by providers. The Dems took the easy way out with a horrible program backed by forced participation. The party of "take" trumped the party of "no".
