Obama the Oblivious

New posts
A question for Obamacare fans. How do you feel about the working poor who cannot afford the Affordable Healthcare Act premiums because they don't have the cash flow to wait for Uncle Sammy to reimburse them at tax time. How do you feel about medicaid recipients getting their healthcare gratis as those who work end up paying the penalty. How does this incentivize a society built on the construct of productivity? What does this say about those who crafted this downdraft to the lower class?

I guess I can't base my opinion purely on the hardships of twenty-somethings who have made questionable career decisions.
You lean on that all the time, but the point remains your logic is flawed. Most of the folks who signed up for this initially are looking for a freebie or a subsidy. How smug is it to say that those work at whatever wage are screwed to be pulled down into the handout class.

You did not answer the question. The law is a giveaway to the insurance companies and medicare recipients riding the backs of the millenials and the middle class. It was passed with zero republican support which means as a bipartisan law, it's a zero. A big fat zero. When Obama made that move, he set the table for non-cooperation. I'm not anti-Obama. I'm against bad law. This is bad law at it's finest, so put away your big paintbrush.

So what if the Republicans didn't vote for it? It still had the votes and it's law. The Republicans will never approve of any healthcare plan for the public.
I'm going to keep my big paintbrush because when it comes to the President and Republicans it is the only one large enough to paint their hypocrisy.

You can work and be on Medicaid. It sounds like a lot of these millenials *are* the working poor. So be it.

As of yesterday there were six million signed up for the ACA. That's six million more Americans with healthcare than the Republicans wanted.

Remember how upset Republicans got when Bush extended the May enrollment deadline for his prescription drug plan not by days, but until the end of December?

Yeah, me neither.

Let's see here, (and I know those who still stubbornly support Obama are not very good at math), Obamacare kicks 6 million people off their insurance, FORCING them to sign up for Obamacare. Reportedly 7.1 million sign up (by some miracle the same system that in October was not giving out numbers now functions with pinpoint accuracy). Now no one seems to know how many of these signees have actually PAID FOR their policies (three components of a contract= offer, acceptance, COSIDERATION, ie $), experience tells us that 20% will not pay, but let's be generous and say they ALL are going to pay. So "we the people" are going to get billed $2 trillion over the next decade for covering one million "folks" and disrupting the economy of the country and the lives of the citizens? Had Obammy been truthful, this abomination would have never passed, but with help of the lie of the century, the good old Dems got it done. Now what do we talk about? Obama using a federal agency (IRS) to stifle his opposition? This clown will go down as quite possibly the most incompetent president ever, someone is smiling in Plains, GA.

Saluki you sure are comical. You haters keep regurgitating the same old bull****, but you have added a new one. Two trillion for one million people? You actually believe the enrollment is over and no one else will ever again buy private health insurance?

The affordable care act doesn't regulate your health care, it regulates your health insurance and some of the worst practices of the for-profit health care industry.

The ACA offers a number of new benefits, rights and protections including provisions that let young adults stay on their plan until 26, stop insurance companies from dropping you when you are sick or if you make an honest mistake on your application, prevent against gender discrimination, stop insurance companies from making unjustified rate hikes, do away with life-time and annual limits, give you the right to a rapid appeal of insurance company decisions, expand coverage to tens of millions, subsidize health insurance costs, and require all insurers to cover people with pre-existing conditions.

Ten essential benefits including emergency care, hospitalization, prescription drugs, maternity, and newborn care must be included on all non-grandfathered plans with no annual or lifetime dollar limits.

Free preventative services including yearly check-ups, immunizations, counseling, and screenings must be included on all non-grandfathered plans at no out-of-pocket costs.

I have asked you haters this question many times and I will ask you again, exactly what was the Republican plan for healthcare for the American people? I'll even make it easier for you. What is their current plan? The only thing they have shown us is fifty votes in an attempt to take us back to the days of crappy coverage and bankruptcy due to medical bills.

Why is it everyone against Obamacare desperately needs free meds?
