Obama the Oblivious

New posts
Saluki is fortunate because the Affordable Care Act includes mental health care and substance abuse treatment among its 10 “essential” benefits. I suppose overdosing on bull**** from RW talk radio could be considered substance abuse.

I was asked many, many times to enroll in Obamacare i believe because i am self employed, even though I said many times I didnt qualify according to their own guidelines, so after many hours, phone calls, and incompetence....I have seen....nothing! I am waiting for the rejection letter in the mail. I pay $1500 a month for 4 people, no health issues, so I think the answer to Obamacare is real simple, it should be called "sponsor a family". I would rather do it under my own volition. I am in the hospitality business and my franchisees will carry the burden of the unskilled labor health care and wage demand crosses. This world of entitlement that we have come to is ridiculous. "I deserve..." You deserve what? Go to school, take advantage of all of the things that are given to you delivered on a silver damn platter by our government. I earn money but pay the highest taxes, pay for my kids college, pay for healthcare for my family, and donate my time and money to charity. We perpetuate the welfare state, offended by the fact that you Might be asked to take a random drug test for staying on unemployment or welfare? Unconstitutional, racially motivated? This is the best example of the disparitybetween the parties. Dems believe that it is their duty to protect...blindly...the poor and less fortunate. Republicans believe that there is a moral code that Man lives by and it is our obligation to pull our fellow Man up. Dems believe give the Man a fish and a lot of them, Republicans are offerings fishing lessons anytime people are ready to listen.

Yes let's drug test those on welfare and unemployment because they are the only ones who receive federal and state money. You Conservatives want drug testing of the poor because it makes you feel good to see someone in need grovel even though testing has shown they use drugs at a lower rate than the general population. Laws should treat everyone equally. Hell, even the laws against sleeping under a bridge, on a park bench, or begging for money on the street corner apply to the rich as well as the poor.
Your post contains the standard me, me, me, look what I did, you're a failure talking points we hear every day and exposes the Republican entitlement mindset of I got mine, you go get yours. The only thing missing is what a God fearing church goer you are.
I'm not a Democrat, but I am a Liberal and here is the disparity between me and a Conservative. I realize poverty is not a natural state. Poverty is man made. Native Americans didn't live in poverty before the Europeans arrived and began to grab everything in sight. Greed is natural and if you don't believe it watch young children grab things away from others or take more than their fair share of goodies. As they mature most learn to share, the others become Conservatives. Money and resources are both limited and greed causes a shortage of both. Nearly one third of all working families, 32 percent, may not have enough money to meet basic needs. At the same time, inequality among working families is increasing, as higher income families receive a larger share of income relative to families at the bottom of income distribution. The irony here is Republicans demonize the working poor for not making enough money. Yes Republicans have a moral code, teach a man to fish, take ninety percent of his catch by claiming he is an employee, then leave it to the taxpayers to help him survive all the while claiming, " I'm a self made man". When ever a person tells you they got rich through hard work ask them who's hard work?

What we are talking about is the difference between assholes and decent people. I am as liberal as it gets when it comes to society and our obligations as humans to be our brothers keeper. But politely kiss my ass and check your Google machine on the incidence of welfare and drug problems...seriously? The out of the gate problem with your comment is the use of the word "you". You Republicans, you this, you that. It isn't me or us against anyone but it seems it has to be the decent pseudo inteligencia pitted against the "evil" someone. I will tell you what I hate, entitlement. I hate that we perpetuate the whole welfare state, I hate the fact that someone cant figure out the balance in government between stay out of my life and or I feel the need to run yours because you are to poor and unfortunate and surely you cant run your own. People are inertly good. As for my personal opinion on government, I dont like any of them the Republicans are just as much to blame as the Democrats. You do not empower people by giving them them the lifelong government teet. Bottom line it isn't YOU, it is US. As a middle of the road person I ask Where did Bill Clinton go?

Hey Carson, if you benefit from federal or state money in any form go piss in a cup.

Republicans and conservatives are always looking for someone to lecture, that's all it is. It's the voice of insecurity and attention seeking manifesting itself in self-aggrandizement. When the kids move out of the house and are on their own, that's when it really kicks in. They've got no one to say "yes sir no sir yes maam no maam". It has absolutely nothing about what is best for the country or society. What a load of utter crap.

Lets talk about religion next!:) Good stuff, in the words of Zack Galefenakis in The Campaign..."It's a mess!" Everything is too extreme, whether it is left or right, it is just toooo much. I own my own business and I have a different set of circumstances, so therefore I have a different outlook and perspective on a few issues. It isnt one size fits all politics, in fact, that is the issue in itself. It is a broken system all the way around.
