For you, Bob, absolutely it qualifies ;-) , and we would love to have you at an ATL/SoWal gig, but wouldn't it be easier for you to get to the "real deal" SoWal from Orlando?
It's strange, but the drive to Atlanta is slightly shorter I think. I use I-75 to I-10,which is not very direct, but the anticipation of the beach makes the drive seem very short.

Girl!? Not this again... ;-) OMG, the "Disco Kroger." How about Johnny's Hideaway (never been there), Dante's Down the Hatch, or little ol' McNeeleys on Collier and Peachtree (I been there...)?

Sounds like there are plenty of willing and able Atlanta SoWal'ers, but I KNOW there are more on this board. Let's wait 'til they post and then start batting around ideas for a get-together (and, yes, RO/GB/Lollygal, 'Nooga is close enough... it wouldn't be the same without you).

Stay tuned.

Never been to Johnny's Hide-away, except the one in Seacrest Beach! My husband let me name our place there.;-)

There's another place in Dunwoody, that used to be "the place" to go inthe late '80's early '90's.
Actually, it was very close, or maybe was where Park Place was back in the day. The name escapes me. Do you know where I'm talking about?

Yes, it was in Park Place next to the Houlihan's. Gone now. Can't remember its name but it was a big spot back in the day. My brother or my wife will remember.

Okay, my Mom lived in Acworth for 5 years and my kids have a brick in Centennial Park...does that count? J/K
You guys sound like you're having too much fun...or you're going to have too much fun!
:D

Why don't you start an Ohio thread?? We could have (remote) SoWal bashes breaking out all over the U.S.

I use to know a guy who practically lived at the Pink Pony. He was always broke.:floor:
Was his name Smiling JOe by any chance?? :floor:

Maybe you took your name as an homage to him (a la "Marshall Tucker" Band)?
