Olberman fired

Breaking: Olbermann announces the end of “Countdown”; Update: Settled contract with MSNBC “late this week”; Update: “Stealth move”; Update: Real reason revealed? ? Hot Air

MSNBC gives in to the need for civility you can believe in.

No where in that string of tweets is there a definitive statement from a named source saying he was fired. Most all of the bleeps say they are speculating. I don't watch this guy and his reputation precedes him, but the title of this thread is misleading, unless you put a question mark behind it.

I'm sure he just decided to quit without giving notice.

You reap what you sow.

All good things must come to an end. We'll miss you Keith!

Is Obama's press secretary position filled yet?...just thinkin'...

So why can't Fox reciprocate and knock off one of their de-evolved pundits?
Keith will be fine. I will miss you buddy. sniff...

I can think of a few others that could be reaping the same if not worse if all things were equal .

That's what Anderson Cooper reported. I guess he might have just quit, who knows.

All fans of the progressive left's version of Beck apparently. Interesting.

Comcast said no way to this arrogant fool.

Clashes with NBC/ MSNBC brass: It's never easy to manage someone who doesn't seem to care if they get fired. Olbermann already left MSNBC once before, in 1998, and stormed out of other networks before. One former ESPN colleague told the New Yorker that when Olbermann left the sports network in 1997, "he didn't burn bridges here?he napalmed them." And Olbermann was never shy about asserting that he?and not MSNBC Phil Griffin?called the shots on his 8 p.m. show. "Phil thinks he's my boss," Olbermann said in the same 2008 New Yorker profile.
