So just who is doing all these shooting in Chicago?
Is it minorities shooting minorities?
Is it drug related?
Does it really have anything to do with the second amendment?
I think we may be overly concerned with the symptom and not the problem...

All I'm saying is there's no comparison. I can run from the bat wielder, and even if I can't, the crowd might be able to take him down. The same goes for the knife wielder. It's a terrible way to go if they do get a hold of you, but they are not good tools for mass killing.

I don't disagree.
One is bad. The other is worse.

The NRA has made the issue of gun violence/control extremely political. Spending millions and making our representatives their little minions. I can appreciate the arguments on both sides but when the nra has the power to actually control Congress as well as other politicians on every level... Well then we've all lost . People will always die of mass shootings and domestic terrorism. We'll see the same daily news about toddlers shooting their mom or sibling. Due to the NRA the USA is not permitted to scientifically study gun violence.. And so we won't have any real methods to address the problems. This is a pathetic way to live and govern.

Of course it's political. But there are some great people and groups who mean business about commonsense gun control. Watch out for the Moms and #TheGays. They are seriously pissed. And I am with them.

If there were no guns. And the bad guys asssult weapon of choice was a baseball bat. Would you support legislation that takes your bat away?

Only assault bats with multi-round clips and hand bats if they are being used for mass killings. All aluminum bats should be immediately banned simply because they sound like sh*t when striking the ball. Very offensive to the ears.
