Live Music Packed house at Act of Congress show

[Danny Burns]

Around 100 people filled the Seaside REP theater this evening for a great show by Birmingham band Act of Congress. All seats and the balcony were packed with an enthralled crowd. The band performed most of the songs from their album Declaration, plus many others. Many thanks to those who attended and made this event so special.

The nearly 2 hour performance was flawless and compelling, to say the least. 30a Radio is expecting big things to happen for this group of wonderful young people. Visit their website Act of Congress for more info and to listen to and purchase their incredible music.

Special thanks to the Seaside REP for graciouslly allowing us to hold the event in their theater. We couldn't have done this without you.

They were freaking incredible! (still an understatement). Thanks also to Adam for bringing this band to town. I don't know how different they would have sounded outdoors on the big stage, but this show was a real treat and very intimate, with intense listening.

What a special night! Someday we will look back on this (when we have a 3,000 seat performing arts center) with the fondest of memories.

Thanks for sharing.

The look, the sound, everything was mind-blowing. No mikes, no speakers, no equipment except for instruments.

John R should have recorded that one. It would have made a great album.

Thanks for turning us all on to this band Adam. What a special treat!

Yes, Kurt wants to buy WaterColor Crossing, and turn it into a dance club/concert hall. :funn:
